SOMATIC HEALING
Our bodies hold the stories of our experiences—our joys, our sorrows, our fears, and our resilience. Somatic healing is a way to come home to ourselves, to meet what is present with compassion, and to honor the truth of our experience in each moment.
Through gentle guidance, breath awareness, and body + sensory based exploration, somatic experiencing will help you understand the ways your nervous system responds to life’s challenges. It offers us a way to soften into the body’s wisdom rather than resisting or overriding our emotions. This work is not about fixing what is “wrong” but rather about creating space for what is real, so healing can unfold naturally.

WHY SOMATICS?
soma = body / of the body.
It’s one thing to know the reasoning + logic behind an issue (i.e. trauma, upbringing, and conditioning), but that will not necessarily help us heal. Healing is not complete without integrating the mind + body.
We cannot just talk our way out of healing. Somatic healing is a compliment to talk therapy in that it takes us out of the cycling through the mind + the stories of the mind and gives us an opportunity to feel the sensations of being in the story, in the body.

Each session is held in a space of respect for your unique process. Through gentle body-based practices, breathwork, and sensory meditations, you will cultivate a deeper awareness of how your nervous system responds to certain stimulus.
You will never be asked to force or relive anything—rather, we will work to sharpen your attention to your body’s innate capacity to hold certain emotions, and heal at a pace that feels safe and natural for you.
This work is for anyone who desires a deeper connection to themselves, who longs to move through life with greater ease, and who is ready to embrace healing not as an endpoint, but as an unfolding journey of presence and self-discovery.
